Arenal Hanging Bridges is a private reserve, which complies with the National Protected Forest Laws. We wish to encourage as much visitors as we can to appreciate the beauties of this protected rain forest. It is our responsibility to control and regulate the behavior or our visitors in order to diminish the impact on the fragile flora and fauna; this is why we have to insist that you observe the following regulations:
1- It is FORBIDDEN to abandon the trails anywhere inside the reserve.
2- It is ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED to hunt or collect samples of plants
or animals within the reserve. Disturbing the wildlife or the use of any
type or cutting tool to clear a path, or to damage in any way plants or
animals will be sanctioned according to Costa Rica’s Wildlife Protection Laws
3- Please do not carry radios or tape recorders, and MAINTAIN A LOW VOICE
so as not to disturb the animals or the other visitors.
4- Even though all the bridges have been designed to support
impressive amounts of weight, a maximum of 25 people of aprox. 220
pounds will be allowed at any one time is each bridge, in order to
comply with the strict safety margins established for the Arenal
Hanging Bridges.
5- It is STRICTLY FORBIDEN to jump, swing or run in any of the bridges.
6- Entry into the reserve is at the individuals own risk. Arenal Hanging
Bridges can not being legally responsible for injuries occurring while
at the reserve. Your registry at the entrance indicates your acceptance
of the conditions stated herein.
7- Smoking is allowed only in the parking area.
Visitors who are unable to observe these rules will be asked to leave by the reserve patrols, and will not be entitled to reimbursement of the paid entrance fees.
