The Lost Iguana Resort & Spa was created to give guest a private room surrounded by the beauty of the jungle and a perfect view of an active volcano. Guests can enjoy hundreds of species of flowering plants, ferns, palms and numerous unusual birds and animals. The resort is built on a mountainside so the rooms have direct views of the jungle and volcano, and not other rooms. Club cars are always available to transport guests to any area on the property.

Trails 80 acres of primary forest have several hiking trails that pass 300 year old trees and cross rivers on rustic bridges. Due to the few number of people using the land, the area is preserved for animals and plants to inhabit the property undisturbed.

Reception A wildlife guide works on site to answer questions, guide groups, or book tours. Complimentary wireless internet service and computers are available at the reception.

The Blue Hibiscus Restaurant A romantic open air restaurant with a view of the volcano. Open from 7am - 10pm.

Double Pool A fresh water pool with waterfall and hot pool above with a swim up bar.

Palapa Bar Thatched tropical bar. Happy hours from 3-5.

Golden Gecko Spa The central building building has a reception, spacious waiting room and changing rooms with saunas. Romantic thatched with fireplaces are near a river for massages & special treatments. Lushly landscaped trails along the river have benches for relaxation.

Gymnasium is equiped with eliptical bike, free weights and a 4 station workout center.

Madman’s Maze a 80’ x 80’ hibiscus maze with enough twists and turns to make a sane person crazy.

Las Casitas

Las Casitas are in a separate building set high on a hill. Each unit has a large master bedroom with large bathroom, living room and small second bedroom. The second bedroom has bunk beds and can accommodate a crib. Half bath off living room. Huge balcony/patio with extra large Jacuzzi. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee service. The photos of the volcano on the web site were taken from this location.

Celebrity Villas

The Celebrity Villas are in a secluded area with 4 villas that each have 2 bedrooms. All have perfect views of the volcano, and also views of the jungle.

Plan A: Master bedroom has a sitting area and eating area with refrigerator, microwave and coffe service. Jacuzzi on large balcony/patio and open air lava rock shower in large bathroom. King bed. The connecting bedroom has a full bed, bunk bveds, full bath and seperate entrance door. The 2nd bedroom does not have a view of the volcano.

Plan B: Large master bedroom with King bed. Large bathroom with outdoor lava rock shower. Huge balcony/patio with jacuzzi. 2nd bedroom has 2 full sized beds, view of the volcano and full bath. Bedrooms open to a spacious living room that opens onto the balcony/patio. Kitchenette and eating area with refrigerator, microwave, stove top and coffee service.pted only in Las Casitas.
