Palo Verde Resort is a secluded, friendly resort, with 10 cabins. All the cabins have a spectacular view of Arenal Volcano, with Lava flows visible both day and night. Located along a natural river, the wildlife is visible from your cabin door. Toucans, parrots and many other exotic species of birds feed off the many fruit trees and there are sloths, howler monkeys, iguanas, many types of frogs and lizards along the river. You can take a long hike along the river without ever leaving Palo Verde.

Our Cabins have Cable TV, ceiling fans, refrigerators, coffee makers, hot water, A/C, private terrace areas; our Lagoon Pool is second to none with waterfalls and swim up bar. Palo Verde also has a private bar and activities center opened daily at 5:00 pm, with pool table, projection TV, dance floor, Music and Disco light system. We have special monthly parties, Thursday movie nights and parties for special occasions.
The focal point of our Resort is our magnificent Lagoon Pool. Carefully designed to accent the surrounding rainforest beauty, this pool complex has flowing waterfalls, cascading down a natural stone wall, which offers our guests relaxing massages, while seated on huge river rocks. Comfortably heated, our natural spring waters soothe and comfort the body and soul. The Lagoon also sports a swim up bar, with submerged stools for sitting and viewing comfort, serving your favorite tropical drinks and libations.
At Palo Verde, our cabins are not all identical in size and price. Some are quaint, designed for singles or couples, while our deluxe cabins can accommodate families and small groups of friends. Our suites offer all the creature comforts, including private Jacuzzi, music systems and DVD players. Our ¨Backpackers¨ cabins are perfect for younger travelers, students and economy minded guests, with bunk styled beds that sleep up to six per cabin. Our philosophy at Palo Verde is basic, provide clean, comfortable accommodations, in a pristine setting, affordable to all who choose to travel to and experience this beautiful country.
The Bambu Room (Palo Verde´s Activities Center) is complete with full service bar, projection screen for movies, Satellite TV, state of the art audio and video systems, billiard table and more. We host weekly movie nights, private parties and incredible ¨Fiestas¨, with live entertainment, DJ´s, dancing, live music, disco light system and dance floor. These fabulous Saturday night ¨Fiestas¨ are very popular, both with the resort guests
and with our Tico friends, who travel from near and far to meet and party together all night long. Sunday afternoon BBQ at poolside complete the weekend fun with burgers, hot dogs and chicken prepared to order on our outdoor grill.
Located five miles from the center of La Fortuna de San Carlos, Palo Verde is close to all adventure tours, hot springs, spas, restaurants and other attractions. All tours, transportation and activities located in the area can be reserved from our reception desk, which also provides free local telephone service and wireless internet.
