Arenal Hanging Bridges is one the most beautiful environmental friendly projects in Costa Rica. Located in front of the Arenal Volcano, within the corridor followed by birds migrating between North and South America, the trails and bridges of this project will bring you as close as you could ever hope to get to the birds, the flowers and the lush vegetation of the primary rainforest. Walk right into the forest, thanks to the imposing hanging bridges overlooking the canopy and our easy, safe and beautiful trails with views of the Volcano.

Arenal Hanging Bridges offers:

• Hanging Bridges circuit by yourself: it takes about 2 hours at a slow pace to complete the circuit but you are welcome to take all the time you want to observe vegetation and wildlife.
• Early Bird Watching Tour option 6h am (50 to 60 species can be observed). Shuttle available 5h30 am from La Fortuna, 5h45 am from hotels along the way like Los Lagos for example.
• Daytime Naturalist Guided Tour option: our expert guide will introduce you to the extremely rich biodiversity of our rainforest and spot wildlife for you with his powerful telescope and binoculars. 2.5 hours
• Night Walk Tour 6h pm option: see frogs, insects, small mammals, sleeping birds with Coleman rechargeable lanterns included. 60% of our wildlife is nocturnal. Shuttle available 5h30 pm from La Fortuna, 5h45 pm from hotels along the way like Los Lagos for example.
• Shuttle transportation for the Hanging Bridges or the Naturalist Guided Tour from your Arenal Hotel 7h30 am or 12h30 pm returning 3 hours later (a 30 minutes ride from the village of La Fortuna or 15 m. from Hotel Los Lagos for example) for $10 per person round trip or $15 per person round trip from the Arenal Observatory Lodge (pickup 8h30 am). Pickup from the Hotel Tilajari or the Mansion Arenal is $50 for 1 or 2 people.
• Our easy trails are wheelchair accessible perhaps with a friend's help for the two steeper slopes and the few steps along the way.
• Free sport style strollers available for your child or you are welcome to bring yours if you wish.
